H4 to H1B

Hi,

I am currently on H4 with EAD and in india on vacation. The H1b petition that was applied last year got approved now. So now, i have a valid H4 visa and an approved H1b petition. I have 2 options that I can think of.

1. Go back to US on H4 and apply for change of status to H1b at some point. This way I can keep my H1b petition valid.

2. Get my H1b visa stamping done now and then if approved go to US on H1b. If rejected, i will lose my H1b but have valid H4.

 

Any suggestions?

I feel 2 is better.... I am not an expert...
