Srikisans
Hello All, My last date of H1B work is Nov30th 2018. My H1B is valid till April 2020. However, i had to resign from my job and have applied for change of status to H4 based on my wife's H1B. Her H1B is also valid until apr 2020. I have sent the documents on Nov 26th and it should reach USCIS by 27th. What is the usual processing/wait time? I believe i can stay in USA until a decision has been taken by USCIS. I have provided all documents needed and hoping it will not be denied. In case H4 is denied while still in USA, will i have enough time to prepare and leave. How do i proceed if there is a denial. Thanks. Any comment or suggestion will be helpful. Link to comment
shekar11#
What is the usual processing/wait time? 2 to 3 months. You can stay legally until a decision has been made. You will have enough time to prepare. Just exit the country as soon as you get an update saying your application has been denied. Link to comment
