ark2007
I have lived in San Diego county for 4 years and will be eligible to apply for citizenship in June. If I move to Orange County ( same state of CA), in May, will I have to wait for 3 months before applying. Link to comment
JoeF
Yes, because OC is in a different USCIS district, Los Angeles. Link to comment
ark2007
If I apply N400 from San Diego, move to Orange County and file AR-11, is there a risk to my application? Link to comment
JoeF
The N-400 would likely get denied because you don't fulfill one of the requirements, living in the district for 3 months. That requirement has to hold until the oath. Link to comment
pontevecchio
Either you delay your move or wait for 3 months after moving. There would seem to be no hurry as you are not going to get Citizenship in time for November. Link to comment
asmadik
Hello - We moved from NJ to TX little over 3 months ago. We have a house in TX and obviously intend to stay in TX for foreseeable future. My wife had to travel internationally for 2 months on vacation. I had a few days of international travel as well for work. Is the 90 day period about being physically present? Or is it about establishing domicile (we have a house and have worked in TX for over 90 days). In short, can we apply for citizenship now? Thanks! Link to comment
pontevecchio
As has been stated so many times " Residence is not physical presence." It means the place you consider your home and where you pay taxes of all kinds" So, you are fine. Apply. Link to comment
