instantoatmeal
Hi, My I-140 application got approved last year so I requested I-797 from my lawyer but they wouldn't give me the I-797 or any documents for my I-140. They say they usually keep the I-797 and all related documents and don't give it out to the client. Is it normal? I received I-797 and all other documents when my H-1B was approved. I am planning to change my lawyer when I file for I-485 since they are very unresponsive.. Link to comment
pontevecchio
I-140 is their property and they do not have to give you a copy. Reasonable companies would have no objection. Link to comment
