pareshk
My I-140 is approved in 2006 in EB3 category. I applied for I-485 immediately thereafter. However, We moved back to India in 2008 and are based in India since then. My PD is current now. My employer has also offered me a job opportunity recently. So, According to my lawyer's suggestion, We recently filed I-824 at NSC on 29th Sep 2017 to switch from AOS to CP. I've received notice within one week of filing. However, there is no movement of dates or progress in case status. Also, NSC is not showing processing time. 1) What's the average processing time for this application? What are the next milestones? 2) What are the risks involved by choosing this CP route of GC? Link to comment
pontevecchio
1. The Immigration Visa Interview is usually quite fast. A few months. 2. With an iron clad job offer from your GC sponsor your visa cannot be denied. I am assuming the job is the one for which the GC was filed. Link to comment
