mahendra_mm
I have a H1B visa, which recently got amended for a new client location. The original petition has a validity till September 2018. The revised amendment has come with a validity until March 2018. However, my firm is telling me that my visa is still valid until September 2018, even if the latest petition expires in March. I recently applied a H4 for my wife. Based on advice from folks who had done the process before, they told me I should use my latest petition number. Now the risk is that, my visa will be valid until September 2018, whereas my wife might only get a stamping till March 2018 (based on the date in the latest petition). If this happens, what is the best way forward? Does my wife need to wait until September 2018 when I file my extension in order to file hers? Link to comment
