Cyclone29 Posted November 15, 2017 Report Posted November 15, 2017 Hello everyone, I finished my PhD in Dec 2015, and am now currently working on my OPT STEM extension. My F1 visa expired in June 2014, but my EAD is valid until Jan 2019. I would like to travel home over the holidays and wanted to know if getting my F1 renewed would be a feasible option, even though I am not a bona fide student. Looking forward to your advice and suggestions. Thanks!
pontevecchio Posted November 15, 2017 Report Posted November 15, 2017 The credibility of your education/ College is the major factor. You SHOULD run the scenario by your DSO. If you have not visited home for 4 years, then you should.
