samram54
Hello. I have been on my green card for about 10 years now. I started the citizenship application process in May and did the biometrics in June and, when I talked to USCIS, they said that my interview process has been started and that info will be mailed out soon. However, my green card is expiring in March of 2018. Do I still have to renew it or not since I am in the middle of the citizenship process? Thanks. Link to comment
pontevecchio
Look at 1. https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/after-green-card-granted/renew-green-card It is a judgement call specially if you need to travel on the GC. If you think you are going to get the Interview and Oath soon, I would not bother. Link to comment
Alexander-2017
By the way, although the Green Card may expire, lawful status as a U.S. permanent resident does not. So long as the permanent resident continues to reside in the United States, he or she remains in lawful status, authorized for work in the United States, even if his or her Green Card has expired.
