Travel with valid visa on expired passport and extended H1B

Hello,

 

I have a valid US H1B visa valid until Dec-31-2017 however my it is on my old passport

 

1. I have my renewed passport valid until 2027

 

2. My H1B has been extended until 2020

 

Question : Do I need to go for a VISA stamping to re-enter the USA before Dec-31-2017 (The actual date of re-entry is November 5 2017)?

You do not have to. But a good idea to get the visa renewed to facilitate future travel. For now you need to carry both passports and use the visa in the old one.
