F2 to F1 Visa status change

Hi,

I'm currently on F2 visa and hoping to change it to F1 before January(Spring 2018). I got an admission from a college and received my I20. My husband is on OPT right now which is valid till Feb 2019.

Could you please let me know what are all the documents should I need to submit in USCIS, How should I do it ?

Is there any online process or should I need to approach nearer USCIS for submission?

How long does it take to change my visa status?

Is there anyway that I can do to make this process quick?

Do I face any complications regarding the process?

What is the pedigree of this college? If it is a public university or a well known one, consider leaving and returning with the F1 visa at the appropriate time.

Thank you for the reply. There are few students whose VISA was not approved and so I am not planning on leaving and returning. 

Could you please let me know the process for Change of status from F2 to F1. Would really appreciate the info.
