The charges were amended to reckless driving I have already completed the required classes, community services and paid all dues I am planning to travel to India in Nov for visa stamping. The incident happened in Dec 2016 I have few questions 1) What should I put in DS 160 for reason for being arrested. 2) How much time it generally takes for stamping. 3) what documents do I need to carry. 4) anyone has any luckj in Mumbai consulate. My immigration attorney is saying not to travel to India come what may and she is planning to tell my employer that I could be in India for long time which is scaring me a lot ( she is company attorney also) Any help would be great Thanks Link to comment

Where is your lawyer telling you to go? just stay in usa she was my company attorney but she is charging separately for the case Hence I am more confused I will be done with everything on Nov 2nd and case is resolved yet she is saying not to travel Link to comment

You may like to file an ethics complaint later on after your immediate issue is sorted. Are you sure you are not dealing with a paralegal? Get yourself an Immigration Lawyer, maybe the firm of Murthy to represent and guide you. The "10,000 USD ride home" does cost one at least that much. What state are you based in? Link to comment

Mark Yes to arrested and then a box will open up for explaination They will send you for physical even if you were not convicted. 2) How much time it generally takes for stamping. It took me total of 10 business days 3) what documents do I need to carry. Court disposition doc. U will get this in the court 4) anyone has any luckj in Mumbai consulate.
