H1 to H4 EAD

Hi,

I am planning to convert to H4 EAD and have following two question

1.  I am on my H1 Extension(8th  year on H1) with approved I140. If in future I want to convert back to H1 will I be cap exempt?

2. Can I quit my job on H1 before we file for H4?

2. No. As soon as you will quit your job you will be out of status.

1. As you have already used 6 yrs of H1 you wont be cap exempt. 

2. File for change of status first once approved then quit your job
