L1 extension approved - Query related to travel outside US

Hi,

My current visa stamping dates are as mentioned below.

Visa Expiry Date - 10/25/2018

PED - 09/30/2017

I94 Expiry - 09/30/2017

I applied for my L1B extension and it has been approved by USCIS and i have received my I 797 and it is valid until 06/14/2019.

 

I plan to travel to India in the month of Jan 2018. My query is that, will i need to go for visa stamping in India before returning back to US or will i be able to return back to US based on the updated I797 and my existing visa stamping as it is valid till 10/2018?

Your existing visa remains valid for your return.

I believe the PED is in your visa stamp as well with expiring date as 9/30? If so you should go for stamping again and get it updated with your new extended I-797 PED.
