Sairam50
My h1b got extended until sep 2018 with my approved i140. I want to move jobs now. Do I have to apply for h1b transfer first and then extension? What happens if my present employer revokes my i140. Can I still apply for extension? This is the possible scenario if I want to move jobs in September 2017, once I get the H1 b transfer receipt no I will start work. Then my new company should apply my extension in 2018 before h1b expiry.can I get 3 year extension with my previous company's approved i140which may be revoked or not? please help. Link to comment

When you transfer you will get H-1 for 3 years based on your SOW. Link to comment
SunderSunder
My H1B visa is expiring on Dec 31, 2017(also completing 6 yrs). My current company 'A' has already filed extension. Got company B job offer and it also filed visa transfer & extension together using company A's approved I140 (approved with 180 days). Visa is not yet approved from B, it is just filed and received the receipt notice. Can company B able to get visa extended for 3 years even if Company A revokes I140? Link to comment
