AchuN Posted July 27, 2011 Report Share Posted July 27, 2011 Hi, My H4 is expiring on Oct 3rd 2011.And also I am planning to apply for H-1b visa which is going to start in August 2011.Can I apply both H4 extension and H-1b processing almost at the same time.. Will that become a problem for me as both.Will I become out of status? Please suggest.... Link to comment

One can upgrade a pending H1B petition to premium processing in order to receive a swifter decision. As such, filing multiple petitions may not be necessary.
