Employment gap from previous employer to new employer

I was terminated by previous employer on  March 10th 2014, however H1B petition was not cancelled. I joined new employer April 20th 2014. Does this mean an illegal stay?

My current employer is now starting my GC processing, is this employment gap going to be an issue for GC processing? 

Need your help to understand before i communicate the dates to my attorney.
