Company B applied for H1B through 2015 lottery process and received the approved petition. Meanwhile, my company applied for L1 extension and USCIS approved the case and I am continuing on L1. Last year, I went to India and re-entered with L1 visa stamping. Now, I would like to change the employer and would like to use the H1B. What are the possible option I have considering Premium processing is on hold and latest Visa constraints? If Company C is ready to transfer my H1B ? is it legal to work on Receipt notice?
pontevecchio Posted June 21, 2017 Report Posted June 21, 2017 It may be possible and I am not totally sure that you can only work for B in H1 status if at all, at least initially. Even that is a problem in view of the long time for H1 petition approval. I would suggest involving a lawyer to clarify your situation first.
