AnujaT Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 Hi, I filed for STEM OPT extension on April 7th 2017, my original OPT EAD expired on June 15th. On June 19th USCIS denied application for STEM OPT Extension, however my H1B has been picked in lottery and application for same is in progress. I am still waiting on official letter from USCIS for denial reason. What would be my next steps? Anyone who had been in this situation, your suggestion would be helpful.

Contact your DSO and get a cap gap I-20 because your H-1 application is picked.
