Apply for H4EAD while H4 status is still pending

My employer applied My H1 extension in premium processing and my spouse H4(I539) extension in regular processing. I received my H1 approval notice and my spouse receipt status is as " Name was Update"(I guess this means the petition is still Pending). In this situation can i apply my Spouse H4 EAD (I 765) extension ? (i.e. while H4 extension still in pending status)

You need to wait for the H-4 approval. One of the document required to apply for H-4 EAD is H-4 approval notice.
