rocky127
Good day folks, Can someone please let me know if I can drive to Canada and come back after 2-3 days to get revised I94 for my son. We just got our L1A- Blanket visa extension but my son's passport is expiring in May 2018 and accordingly his I-94 was given until his passport expiration date. We still have valid visa until March 2019. I see option at CBP website : https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home Visiting the U.S. & Arriving via a Land Border? Would appreciate if someone can share their experience on this? Thank you very much Link to comment
pontevecchio
Assuming you have a visa for Canada then you can certainly return with a new I94 for your son . You have to make clear that he needs a new I94 and that the rest will be using AUTOMATIC VISA REVALIDATION. Link to comment
rocky127
Thank you , we are Canadian PR holders so visa is not a issue. My Attorney told me that its up to the mood of CBP officer to do this as they are not required to change I 94 for people travelling less than 30 days from US/Mexico. Using this provisional I-94 thing may help. Appreciate your response pontevecchio. Link to comment
pontevecchio
AVR is not a compulsory infliction. It was devised to help and not hinder people in their travels. You pay your 6 or maybe 12 USD and you get a new I94. Many reports of people having done it. In any case you do have time on your side and worst case you file another extension for him later on.
