Cowboy321
Incase if H4 EAD is revoked .. can one go back to H1 status ( if its still valid - means not revoked ) .. or they should apply for Change of Status again from H4 to H1B ? Kindly help Link to comment
pontevecchio
H4EAD is not a status. H4 is the status. A person in H4 status needs to have a H1 petition with COS filed to get back to H1 status and he needs to wait for approval first. Link to comment
Cowboy321
thanks for your reply. if the person had a H1 before and had change of status to H4 + EAD .. can he go back to the previous H1 .. if its not revoked ? Link to comment
pontevecchio
The previous H1 needed to be revoked by rule. Subject to your total of 6 years, you can join the previous employer after he files and gets your H1 approved. Link to comment

The employer is required by law to inform USCIS if the person does no longer work there. So, assume that the old H1 is revoked. Link to comment
