Can I apply for H4 EAD, H1B approved but I-539 in progress

Hi,

I applied for my H1B and H4 extension last year in the month of November. Mean while in February my I-140 got approved, so I applied our extension in Premium.

My H1 got approved but haven't heard anything over my spouse H4.

I need to apply for the Spouse H4 EAD, Can I do that ? my current visa is still valid till mid May 2017.

Better to wait for the H-4 approval before you file for H-4 EAD.

Did the H4 approval come yet for you ? If so, how long did it take after your H1B approval ? I have the same situation, where my H1B extension got approved but H4 is still pending.
