newhorizons
Hi, I am with Employer A. My original H1 is valid upto September 09, 2017. Last year when I joined a new Client, I filed for an amendment. My amendment was approved and the validity was given until March 7th, 2017. In this situation should I assume that my original H1 date (September 9th, 2017) is still valid? Employer A has filed for an extension today (exactly on the same date when my amendment is expiring). Does this have any impact? I have a new offer from a different employer. Is it advisable to take that opportunity and have the new employer take over H1 processing. Earliest replies would help me. Regards. Link to comment
pontevecchio
Your current H1 petition expired yesterday. The extension lets you stay. But your employer does not seem kosher as any sane employer would have filed the extension earlier. You could certainly involve a new employer to file a H1 petition with PP for you and leave and return with the H1 visa once approved. Link to comment
