H1B Amendment filing time for Job Title and Duties Changes

Hello,

I am working with an employer that has petitioned for my H1B for 8 years. I have found a better position in the same company and in the same IT department, that I am interested in. While there may be a need for h1b amendment (LCA), I am not sure of the timing for that amendment to be filed. I have recently got an extension for 3 years and also have stamping. Do I have to file an amendment as soon as I take the new job or can I wait till the 3 years is up and file amendment along with the next extension. Please suggest.

File it as soon as possible. Your stamping will not be affected.
