work2live123
Hi,I am on H1, serving 3 rd year with company A. I am getting an offer from my new employer B. My new client needs me to join within 2 weeks,is it safe now to transfer my H1 with new company? How long is it taking to get the receipt number/approval[on permium processing) these days (given the current situation of new H1B bill)? Post Jan 2017 Please advise. Link to comment
pontevecchio
The new H1 bill aims for almost 200000 H1'S an year and hence would not affect your "transfer". I would not expect such a bill to pass muster as it makes no sense. Maybe Trump will do a quid pro quo with his republican soul mates. Link to comment
work2live123
Does this mean even if my new employer is unable to meet the compensation of 130k/annum? Will H1 transfer approval be affected? Link to comment
pontevecchio
The employer will need to meet LCA salary at the moment the H1 petition is approved and not some future regulation. Link to comment
pinnaka149
I have applied my H1-B extension in premium on Feb 1st, H1-B is approved on Feb 8th. as long as your employeer and you meets the USCIS norms I don't see a point why you have to worry. H1-B Transfers also no different. Link to comment
