ravishekar
Dear Sir/Madam, I am a permanent resident. My GC was obtained under the EB1 category in 2012. My wife and myself are planning a trip to India in March. Neither of us have ANY criminal charges against us. However, I was subjected to a severe background check in 2009-2010, due to my background (PhD in aerospace engg), when I went for a H1B stamping. Do you think that Prez Trump's executive orders on the reentry of green card holders will affect me and my wife (she is also a PR). Things are not very clear in the news. Are these executive orders only for the citizens of the 7 listed countries ? will my wife and me be affected in any way? Thank You for your time and consideration, Ravi. Link to comment
pontevecchio
YOU WILL NOT BE AFFECTED in any way. A salutary lesson to you two to become Citizens as soon as you are able to and never forget . Have a nice trip. Make sure your employer is fully in the know and since it is likely to be one of very few companies, all of which have enormous influence, you WILL be fine. Link to comment
