kk84
Hi Folks, I have my old stamping till Jan 8th 2017. Recently, I got my H1B Visa extension done and went to INDIA for stamping. Everything went smooth and got my stamping till Jan 2020. When I flew back to US, I got my I94 with an End date of Jan 8th 2017. What should I do to extend my I94 End date other than stepping out of the country and coming back. Please advise. Thanks in advance. Link to comment
pontevecchio
Inform the company about the matter. Did you not show the latest H1 petition approval? If you did then they made an error and you should get it corrected at the CBP Office at the Airport. Link to comment
vg30
Hey KK84, if this is due to mistake by the officer at Port of Entry, then you can visit the CBP (Customs Border Protection ) offfice in your city. Once you explain them the situation, they should be able to rectify this. It seems this is happening fairly regularly off late. I would recommend to do it ASAP without too much delay. Your I-94 date refelects the Legal status to stay in the country, so it's best to get it corrected before the Jan 8 2017 expiry. (Technically it needs to be updated on i94 within 6 months of the Jan 8 2017) Hope this helps. Link to comment
