Born in Nepal But Indian Citizen

Hello,

        I was Born in Nepal . My Parents are both Indians . They never applied for Nepal citizenship for me and I hold Indian Passport . Could you please let me know if I apply for Green Card would my Birth Place give me an advantage . In sense would it be faster for me than an Indian Born applicant . If yes , what is the average processing time .

For the GC, it is always the place of birth that matters. I assume you have a birth certificate that shows Nepal as your place of birth.

You would qualify for the ROW PD.

It would be an enormous advantage for you should you have a birth certificate from Nepal subject to certain conditions. Please consult the firm of Murthy or any of your choice. GOOGLE "VISA BULLETIN" and look up the official bulletin for say December and that will educate you about dates.

@pentevecchio . Yes I do have Nepal Birth Certificate and also in my Passport Place of Birth is Mentioned as Kathmandu ( Nepal )
