Travelling with O1 visa Stamp and AP

Greetings

 I am filing my 485 and will apply for EAD and AP.

I want to travel to India ONLY AFTER receiving my EAD and AP.

I also have a valid O1 visa stamped on my passport. 

Can someone tell me what should be the re-entry procedure to USA? I prefer to enter using the O1 visa Stamp instead of AP.

Is this possible? (I know H1B/L visa holders is absolutely ok to enter US using the visa stamp instead of AP). 

Can O1 visa holders enter using O1 visa instead of AP?

Because I heard if you enter using O1 your 485 is deemed abandoned.

The O1 visa is moot if you already file AOS. Once you do that you need AP to return and not O1 . My question was why O1 at all if you are awaiting AOS and using AP/EAD in future.
