vaimurthy Posted October 12, 2016 Report Posted October 12, 2016 Hi, I was in USA on H1B from 2007 to 2009 and my extension got rejected. I returned to india and filed L1B on 2010 and converted to L1A on 2014. My visa is getting over by May 2017. In the mean time my perm got approved(applied on May 2013) and will get my I140 in next few weeks. Now my question is, can i use this I140 approval to get out of cap H1 to change my status from L1A to H1B and hence get extension for my stay in US.
