RS257
Hello, I lost job at company A. Got new job at company B after 2 months.Have valid visa stamping till Oct 2016. H-1B applied in consular processing, its approved. Got I-797 without I-94. Can I cross border at San Diego to Tijuana and re-enter to US? Does anyone experienced similar situation? Thanks, Raj Link to comment
satvar
Take the new approval and for safety carry all the documents , the person who gives i94 don't ask why you got the approval without i94. If you have valid i94 stamp he will ask you why you need one , he may say no I don't issue one. tell him that you changed your job from company A to B the approval which I have iscompany B ,my i94(if you have valid i94 stamp of company A) which old company A stamp and I am no longer working there that why I need i94 on new approval. i went same situation and I posted in the above chain check once , I went Nagolas , AZ My post H1B TRANSFER APPROVED WITHOUT UPDATED I94 URGENT HELP(NAGOLAS, TIJUANA) Started by satvar, August 31 Link to comment
rohit369
Yes, you can get a fresh I94 at Tijuana crossing. However, be prepared to spend 3-4hrs in the queue. You may also try Otay Mesa crossing (https://goo.gl/maps/LpnfLVNwZMA2). People say the queue is pretty short here. Link to comment
