Executive Order effect on H4

Hi All,

My wife and daughter traveled to India in Jan 2020 and due to COVID19 situation they haven't been able to come back to US yet. My wife is on H4 visa (stamped in Jan 2020 and valid till Sept 2022, she also has H4 EAD) and daughter is US citizen. Now that we have new executive order on work visa entry limitation to US, how much will it impact H4 visa holder entering into US? Can my wife enter into US without any issue? Is she need to do any other formality to enter into US?

In similar situation. Called CBP and asked. They say they are still waiting for more information. Everything else is a noise.

I am not a lawyer. However, based on what i heard from my attorney you are fine as if you have a valid visa stamped as of Jun 24th 2020 it does not impact you.   🙂

There are no issues for your wife to enter the US since she has a valid visa.

Your wife should be able to travel as she has the visa stamped.

If they have valid visas they can travel. Just new visas aren't issued.

No impact if one has a valid visa stamped in their passport prior to the effective date of proclamation #10014.
