abhishes
I already have my i797. I have never gotten a H1B stamped on my passport. My company is asking me to travel to Germany. I'm not sure if its allowed to get H1B visa stamped in US consulate in Germany. I tried searching the web and I found that its no longer allowed to get the visa stamped in Canada and Mexico. but I'm not sure about germany My company just asked me to call the Consulate and asked, but the consulate won't even pick up the phone. Please help me out here . (sorry if its a frequently asked question). Quote Link to comment

gopalakrishnach
As far as i know Canada allows first stamping. Mexico will not allow. Best email consulate for questions... Quote Link to comment
abhishes
The waiting time in Canada is very long (first date is available in November) and my company wants me to travel to Germany this month itself. The problem is that if Germany US consulate does not do first time stamping. Then I will be stranded out of the country for multiple months. Quote Link to comment
