Praveenj Posted July 11, 2019 Report Share Posted July 11, 2019 Hi, I am with same employer and my H1B is up for renewal. It is expiring by end of Oct2019. My employer is preparing for extension. Here is the question: My job title is changed from previous extension as I get promoted. That is I got promoted month ago (Principal Programmer to Associate Director for programming)! However job duties not changed more than 50%. that is I can say changed around 20-30% only! Couple of management roles added like work on programming SOPs, hiring etc. 1. In this case just extension with new title is sufficient? 2. If amendment is needed, can we do both extension and amend together? 2a. If not, should we do amendment first and then after that, extension? (we don't have that much time though!) FYI, there is no change in work location. So I want to know exactly at what point we need amendment, when there are promotions happened..? Thanks... Quote Link to comment
