DS-160 License information

I live in CT but I have a valid license from a different state until 2020. My visa appointment is in the month of  Oct,2018 in canada. All my DS-160 has the information like place I work and home address as CT. Can I attend the visa interview with the license from a different state or Do I need to change my license and redo my DS-160. Please advice

License requirements vary by State.  But if you live in CT, you should have changed your license to meet any CT requirements.

Look up the DMV in CT. In most cases it is mandatory to get a state license where you reside within a month or so of moving. If you are still able to, exchange that license for a CT license.

When I had a stamping In 2015 @ Vancouver, Canada consulate was verifying the address on DL & Petition, if matching NO Issues but if the address on DL and stay of the H1-B holder is different, they were issuing 221G at that time. Not sure now. But better to change it instead of getting stuck @ 3rd country for weeks with NO idea what's going on.

As the post above yours stated, change the license to that of CT!  Connecticut is where you legally reside and work now.

You can attend the interview but be prepared since checking DL is common now a days and if address on DL, Petition, W2, tax matches good else may lead to 221G.

I may be wrong but in DS 160 form you will not give DL number you will give address in DS 160 and if it matches to DL it is good..

As a side note,  getting a CT license is very easy, minimal paperwork and provides a 5 year validity irrespective of  your current H1-B or legal status duration.
