madhura2002
I amON h4 right now and was planning to study and convert to F1. My spouse's labor got approved and we are expecting H4EAD in some months. But i am very unsure of the future of EAD, Hence i was wanting to know that can H4EAD be converted TO f1 Status if the college gives me I20. Link to comment
pontevecchio
H4 EAD is not a status. H4 status is obviously possible. You can certainly change status to F1 from H4. Link to comment
JoeF
It is possible to study on H4. As pontevecchio said, the EAD is not a status. Changing from H4 to F1 is possible, but if the H4 EAD was applied for, USCIS obviously knows that the spouse has immigration intent (the EAD requires an approved I-140 from the spouse) and they could deny the F1 due to immigration intent.
