Dependent, I-485 pending, have EAD, am i eligible to use Unemployment benefits?

I'm an derivative and I-485 is pending on EB, I was working using my EAD and got laid off, i applied for Unemployment Benefits and haven't submitted for any claim so far. Is it ok to go ahead and request for claim or will that impact my pending Green card I-485 application?

Since payroll taxes fund your payments, you should be able to claim.
