rani357
My current H1b is valid till sep 2012 with employer A. I applied for new job and my future employer B has applied for H1B transfer. Will I need to go for stamping again if I decide to travel before Sep 2012. Please advise Thank you for your reply Link to comment
mashmit2002
Not necessarily. You can use the visa stamp from Employer A and the I-797A from Employer B and enter the US, if you travel before Sep 2012. Link to comment
rani357
Thank you so much for your reply. One last question in this. Will my first employer have any control on my visa after transfer process is complete. Can he request a visa cancellation after the transfer that might make me go to embassy. Please advise. Thanks Link to comment
mashmit2002
Yes, your previous employer can cancel the H1 visa. I am not sure if you can enter the US using the stamp for that cancelled visa and the new petition. Maybe some one else in the forum can answer that or you can check with the lawyer. Link to comment
ebullientsystems
I am also in the same plate can you please suggest, if previous employer cancels your visa ? Link to comment
rickyroy
I had visa transfer to company A from my previous employer and extended till 2014 and never travelled after the extension. I had visa stamped from my previous employer which will expire on Nov 9, 2011. I am trying to explore options to reduce the chances of visa stamp rejection. Note : In fact i heard there are no chances of visa rejection as long as i have direct client documentation in place. Is it true ? That being said, if i can travel to India and return before Nov 9, 2011 , do i still need to go for visa stamping. Is it acceptable at port of entry with old stamping on my visa also shows old petitioner name on the passport before Nov 9, 2011. Link to comment
