torres_stud Posted May 10, 2016 Report Share Posted May 10, 2016 Hi Guys, I am currently in a quandary on how to go with my wife's change of status F2 to F1. I am currently on F1 opt and my H1B has been selected for this year lottery. Therefore, I am guessing I will get my H1B in Oct. So will this make my wife's F2 visa status expire/void in October if F2 to F1 change takes more than 5 months, like in November? Please help. Another option is that she goes to India and apply there for F1 visa at US consulate? What should I do?? Link to comment
