Query on Birth Certificate Affidavit

Hi,

 

I need to obtain the birth certificate affidavit from my parents as I do not have a birth certificate. My mother is not educated, so is it ok for her to put her thumb impression on affidavit. Will this be acceptable. Also, please let me know if there is another way of achieving this requirement.

yes..thumb prints are acceptable on affidavits..you can get affidavits from other senior family members such as uncles, grand fathers etc..who can certify your birth..
