Change in job category pending I-485

Request your suggestions. 

 

I have a pending I-485 since 2012 and my priority date is 04/2010. It was filed for the job category of software developer. Currently, I am finishing my part time studies and interviewing for jobs that dont fall under the category of my I-140.  Hence, I wont be eligible for AC-21 portability clause as the job responsibilities are completely different.

 

If i switch my job category and i go through labor, I-140 with my new employer, could i still use the priority date of 04/2010 from my previous petition?
