Question for h1 amendment and extention

Hi, Last October 2015 my employer filed h1 amendment since I found new project at new location. Which is still in received status.

Unfortunately my new project ended in Feb 2016 and I have joined my previous client (with whom my original petition is approved). My h1 is valid till November 2016. Do I need to cancel my amendment? or just wait and file h1 extension?

Please advise.
