B2 sponser for parents while H1-B extension on progress

Hi there,

 

Need your expertise on applying B2 visa for my parents. Here is the situation. 

 

Currently my H1-B extension is on progress. I DON'T have valid I-797 document to show as a supporting document to apply for B2 Visa for my parents. 

 

Is it advisable to apply for B2 visa without valid I-797 documents ?

 

Is there any alternative ways other than converting my H1-B extension to premium?

B2 is not dependent on your 797.
