mithunmithun
Hi Friends/Experts I have come to US on a H1B visa to work at our client-A location in NC. I have a valid LCA for NC. When I reached NC, my job position at NC is gone. I did not report to this Client-A. How ever my company had said that i have an opening in a different client site (Client-B at Portland OR). My company had started processing a new LCA for this location. My Questions: 1. I am in NC for the past 2 weeks without working for client-A. How ever my company will pay me for these 2 weeks. Is my stay here legal? 2. For new LCA will there be a problem since I have not worked for the first client? 3. For new LCA should there be a new stamping required? If so should I have to travel back to my home country and do stamping or can it be done here in US itself? 4. If everything goes on fine when can i start my work at client-B location? Can i start once my LCA is filed or should i wait till it is approved? Your immediate replies would be of great help to me. Thank You. Link to comment
murthyh1buser
Your new LCA is has got nothing to do with ur old LCA. Its jus for ur work location. There is no need of stamping for new LCA once it is approved. U can start working once ur LCA gets approved. It hardly takes a week to get the LCA approved. I dont know the answer for ur first Q.
