What does Post input mean on j1 waiver status site.  How long does DOS take from the post input time to the approval?

Did you ever know what does it mean post-input received or Letters of need received? What are those and how long after the "letters of need received should I expect a final decision from the DOS? Thank you

Dont ask good questions. post input means probably a communication they received from the your attornies or another agency. Letter of need is the one you used to apply for DS-2019.  No definite time frame on when you can get the approval from DOS.  The average i about 2.3 months for the apps (hardship) where the letter of need was received in the last 4 months.  No guarantee that will be true in your case. What is the nature of your case, can you provide more details?

it's based on horrible security conditions in my home country as well as bad financial and educational hardship to my wife and daughter. 2.3 months is a long time man. I thought it should take 4-6 weeks all of it. It seems I am mistaken.
