h1 and h4 visa stamping together

Hello All,

 

I am working full time for a fortune 500 company and planning to go h1b visa stamping together with my wife (h4). I accepted fulltime 5 months before. here are my questions.

 

1. Can me and my wife both go together ? How do I let them know in the ds160 that we are attending interview together?

 

2. As i said I changed my employer just before 5 months so should I carry previous employer 797 and other documents?

1. No issues .You both can go together

 

2.You should carry all the required documents including previous employer I-797.

1. you can go together. Once you completed filling your DS form, it will ask you if anyone else is attending interview with you. You can fill your wife details over there

2. Its always better to carry previous I797s. They may or may not ask.

Appreciate your answers. Can any one explain what documents the following statement is referring to?

 

• Original letters from current and previous employers detailing your position and projects you worked on and how long you worked with your employers.

Does the pay stubs & W2 needs to be original ? My company provides pay stubs and w2 through portal but not paper copies.
