shandan
I would not put in those words, you do not have 'basic' doubts, you do not have a clue of the process. Please spend sometime reading and understanding the process, best place to start would be the uscis.gov website. Then you can come to forums like this and others to read about any specific questions you might have. See, people on forums can answer specific questions based on your specific situation, but this is an unrealistic expectation to get coached in the immigration process with a blanket question like your. Good Luck. Link to comment
ivrs11
Filing GC does n't mean you can stay here for ever. There are multiple stages where you need approval to maintain status. Your employer should file Labor at least 1 year before H1 expiry. If no Audit it will take 7-8 months for approval. Then I-140 should be filed. and then I-485 stage once your priority date become current. next EAD and then GC. for EB2 category it will take approx 5-7 yrs. EB3 - 10 yrs approx EB1 - 6 - 12 months Its a lengthy process, do some digging on it to understand. Link to comment
