I did not see any one posting their experiences for H1-B Visa @ Toronro Canada recently. Hence this thread.

I went for interview on 21 Jan 2016 . It was scheduled at 10AM however there were not many people. I was let in at 9:10 without any issues. Security check, DS160 and I797 check, ten finger printing all done in 10 mts. There were 3 counters open and 3 people in front of me. In line I was waited for 5 mts, and at the interview counter for 2-3 mts.

Only general questions asked.

What do I do, if it's an extension, if I am working for same employer, Masters, when I first went to US and what I did before H1B.

I have noticed that they review your application a day before your interview and they have clear vision to approve or to request for more docs. As always just be confident. As long as your history, your company and you answer confidently, you are good. Full time taken from start to end is approx 20 min. I just picked up my passport. (01/26/2016). Parking is easy too.

Snapshot:

Visa Interview : 21 Jan 16 (Thursday)

Issued : 22 Jan 16 (Friday)

Intimated to Canada Post : 25 Jan 16 (Monday)

Ready for pick up : 26 Jan 16 (Tuesday)

Return to US : 27 Jan 16 (Wednesday)

US Immigration at Pearson airport, Toronto. Canada was pretty easy.

Cheers & Good Luck.

I am a regular visitor to Canada. At the POE, I was very much nicely talking to the CBP officer and how most of Indians are into IT and becoming Dr's. She was talking to me on how well we are all educated. She spoke to me about her son doing masters degree and she does not know how we fellow Indians can afford to do Master degree. Overall it was very cool(may be 3-4 mts). By the way POE will be in Canada and you arrive US like a domestic passenger. Good luck.

Congrats on your interview. A quick question about the questions you were asked at the Port of Entry? Can you share those too?

Thanks
