H1B extension approved after traveling to India, return back without latest I797?

Hello Team

My H1B extension is in progress! I'm traveling to India in a month, i m back to US end of March! My visa valid until jun 2016. If I do premium processing and if my visa approved when I m india can I travel back to US with old I797? My latest i797 will be delivered to US mailing address. So I may not have my latest one since I will be in India during that time!

Will there be any issues during port of entry due to old i797?

As long as old I797 is valid at the time of entry there is no issue.

I am not sure whether you will be getting new I94 along with your H1 797 if you are outside the US.
