h1_seeker
I know this is a little off topic but I would like to know what happens to my health insurance after layoff as my wife is due for delivery in September this year. If I get laid off a few months/weeks before due date what are insurance options besides Cobra, which is expensive. I would appreciate a response. Thanks. Link to comment
GNH
You can sign up for Obama care ( even that is expensive now ) or stick to Cobra. Nothing else in this country Link to comment

Try to negotiate with your employer not to terminate your insurance. Give a call to the hospital and try to make a deal,I am not sure whether this is possible or not. But I guess there should a way to fix this problem. There are millions of people without insurance. Link to comment
rohang
wouldn't your bigger problem be in country without employer? Link to comment
jairichi
September is a long way to go. You have adequate time to plan your stay in US or move out of US. Link to comment
